When it all started...
It all started back in 1969 when the owner became a qualified ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) and after several years the business name is now 'Passfast® UK Ltd'. Passfast is now an official registered trade mark and the original owner still plays an active role in the running of the business.
The ADI badge has changed from the Ministry of Transport complete with coat of arms to the modern green badge you will see in the lower right corner of the photo above. You should see this badge on the windscreen of your instructors car.
Many things in the industry have changed over the years, people used to be quite happy plodding along taking forever to learn to drive but there have been many changes since then, teaching methods and the road and traffic conditions have altered considerably and the need to learn to drive quickly and safely became the new 'normal'. Intensive driving courses were introduced and are now the favoured learning system.
Previously, lessons were on a 'pay as you go' basis and that still applies but is not so popular as it takes too long to learn and too much is forgotton between lessons and this works out more expensive in the long run.
Intensive driving courses on the other hand are over and done with in a matter of days and the only drawback is finding a lump sum to pay for the lessons all at once!
The satisfaction of passing the driving test so quickly makes the effort all worth while and although it may seem expensive at the outset it is money well spent and there is less risk of forgetting and progress is much quicker making it more likely you will pass your test first time.
One thing will never change and that is the feeling of accomplishment when another one of our customers passes their driving test. It makes it all worthwhile.
